I pick up my camera only when something catches my breath — a face, a light, a fleeting moment that asks to be remembered. That is the only brief I have ever followed. Portraits pull me in most: that fraction of a second when a person stops performing and simply exists. Travel feeds that hunger — every unfamiliar street, every stranger's glance is an invitation.
